The NHS provides too many services across the country to plot them all on this map. However if you'd like to tell us about an NHS service or achievement that you think should be included here then please contact us.
This website is currently presenting information on NHS services in England only. The devolved bodies in Scotland and Wales have autonomous decision making responsibility for NHS services in Scotland and Wales respectively.
The 1990s were defined by long, seemingly never ending waiting lists because of Tories failing to invest in the NHS. No targets and a lack of facilities and staff meant that you could wait up to 2 years for an operation.
It simply wasn't good enough, it caused pain, distress and lives were lost. This is why one of Labour's main aims has been to get rid of waiting lists. Through investment and dedication from its staff the NHS now will guarantee that by 2008 every patient will be treated within 18 weeks of seeing their GP.
